What’s up, party people???? I’m feeling live today.
Why, you ask?
Well maybe you didn’t ask, but I’ll tell you anyway 😉.
I have got out a new free PDF guide on overcoming fears.

Why do I care, and why should you?
Because, everyone has fears. It’s a natural part of life. Even the animals of the kingdom that can’t speak respond to fear. It’s how they avoid getting eaten.
Welp, now I’ve got the secrets to overcoming you own fears, so that LIFE DOESN’T EAT YOU!
Don’t you want your cake?
…and don’t you wanna’ eat it too?
I never did get that phrase. I mean, I don’t understand. Isn’t cake made to be eaten? So why can’t you have it and eat it? Lol. Perhaps that’s just my perspective on life…so now let’s make it yours.
For a more detailed explanation of the following tips, download my Overcoming Fears PDF, so that you can push past the limitations that are keeping you from where you want to be!
But without further ado…
#1 Identify It
The first thing you should do is clearly identify what your fear is. You might think you are afraid to apply for a higher paying job, but maybe you are really afraid of leaving the comfort of your current job for the unknown? Maybe you are afraid to make a stupid decision, and regret it, later.
Whatever the case may be, you’ve got to dig deep into what your fear really is. One great tool I read about the other day was the 7 Layers of WHY test. Ask yourself why you fear something. When you get the answer, ask yourself why again. Then ask yourself a 3rd time, why?
Example: Why are you afraid to get a new job?
Answer: Because I don’t think I can get a better job?
WHY?
Answer: Because I don’t think I’m qualified.
WHY?
Answer: Well, I haven’t seen or heard many people get the job I want with the experience I have.
WHY?
Answer: I guess people think the same way as I do, and they don’t try for it
Is there a reason WHY you won’t try for it, despite your beliefs about yourself?
Answer: NO
Why?
………………………………………………Mhmmm …and this uncovers the true beliefs you have about yourself AND provides clarity about WHAT you want and WHY you want it.
This way, you don’t waste time running in circles for a dream that can truly be yours, if only you’d try. On the other hand, you could be deluding yourself about what you THOUGHT you wanted. Identifying it, helps straighten this all out.
#2 Explore Your Emotions
Okay, so you haven’t tried to improve your life in a while. Yes, it might sting a bit, to reflect on your decisions, but the important thing is that YOU FEEL them. You need to be okay with the emotion that you feel about your fear. If you are afraid of failure, that’s okay! You aren’t alone. Cry if you have to. Write a song about it. Whatever you must to do to feel it, do it. This allows you to process it, and work through it. This is ever so important in moving forward because the more you avoid the feeling, the longer it will take you to get to the goal. So feel it, and let’s keep moving…capiche’?
# 3 Seek Support
It’s okay to ask for help. So many people stop themselves from achieving greatness, because they refuse to ask for help. Imagine if a student who wanted to become a doctor, refused to get a tutor, and flunked out of medical school. He could have been the greatest doctor there is, based off of pure talent, passion, and purpose. However, we would never get to see that because the student never asked for help. Just because he needs help taking tests, doesn’t mean he won’t be a great doctor, or make it through medical school.
The help you ask for, doesn’t make you a weak person, or less capable of achieving your dream. Even psychiatrists have shrinks! That doesn’t mean they aren’t great at what they do. We all have strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes we have to water the weak seeds to complete our growth process. So, stop thinking help is weak, and seek it, if you need it. I rebuke denial 😉…
#4 Challenge Your Story
We all grow up with this idea about ourselves, based on the things our parents have taught us, the experiences we’ve had, and the knowledge we’ve acquired. Just because you heard it, doesn’t meant it’s true. Even if you told the story to yourself…it doesn’t meant its true.
Additionally, anything that you don’t like about yourself, can be changed. While you can’t change what happened to you, you can change who you are, because of it. That all depends on who YOU CHOOSE to be. So anything you want to change, you can challenge. If there’s anything you don’t think is healthy to have (as in it hurts yourself or others), you can work to be WHOEVER you want to be.
I can attest to this, because I was an abused child. I was once a victim, and continued to be one, in multiple relationships in my life. This was all because I believed I didn’t deserve to be loved and treated with respect. Once I changed what I thought about myself, and challenged my story (of childhood abuse), I began to respect myself and began to get the same from others. Now I am a strong woman who gives and receives healthy love, instead of the young girl who thought dysfunction was my only story.
&& that’s all I’ve got for you today, folks. I won’t hold you captive for the other 11 steps to overcoming fears. But for my action takers out there (where you at?), I got you! You can download the remaining, and in depth breakdown, HERE.
To all, I hope you make decisions daily, to move toward the life you want to live. This time we have is wayyyyyy too short for you to be a sucker in this life. So, choose joy, peace, and freedom by taking control of IT, and pushing past your fears. Get the life you want, and enjoy it well!
With love,
Chan at the [BOG].
